Approximately 10 million Americans over age 50 have osteoporosis and are at risk for breaking bones. Yoga has the power to protect us from fractures by building bone mass and reducing the probability of falls—which are the leading cause of injury.
This workshop teaches Dr. Loren Fishman’s scientifically proven Yoga for Osteoporosis method. During this workshop, you will learn:
- How to practice particular yoga poses that maintain and even increase bone mass.
- What poses to exclude from your yoga practice if you already have thinning bones.
- The effects nutrition, hormones and lifestyle have on our bone health.
This course is appropriate for yoga teachers who want to help their students practice safely and effectively.
