2021 LENT YOGA ON-DEMAND
This 6-week yoga video series is a chance to get grounded and become ready to connect to God. We’ll use yoga to help us move, breathe, turn our hearts toward justice, and repent when or where we have missed the mark.
Practices will be thematically linked to Vanderbilt Divinity Library Art and Prayers. These themes address our universal experience of being human, which can be illuminated by the particularities of the Christian journey of Lent.
The videos will cover:
How to awaken and warm up the muscles that support the spine.
A variety of poses, including twists, back bends, forward folds, and standing one-leg balance.
Modifications for using a chair.
Suggested use: Try to do the video 2-3 times per week. Enjoy making these videos a part of your Lenten season, whenever and wherever works for you!
